Time Flies When You’re Having Fun 😉

Does anyone else feel like the summer went by in a blink? I can’t believe July is over! This month went by so fast amidst holidays, summer camps, and fun life things like having our A/C break. 

Note to self: editing takes longer than you think it does, lol! I’ve been working on my edits for weeks now. I did finish the first batch and sent them off to various readers and now I’m in the stage of compiling all that feedback into one document. It takes me about 20 minutes per chapter to do that. Doesn’t sound like a lot, does it? When the story is 89 chapters though, those 20 minutes add up!! I aim to finish those edits by the end of next week. The following week I’ll be reading the whole book aloud to my family and getting their edits (they’re all excellent at picking out repetitive bits or pointing out when I’ve dropped a thread somewhere). I hope to put The Riches of a Life Well-Lived on Amazon by early September.

In other news, I’ve also started posting Mutante (my mermaid story). I really love how this one came out! There are some really great themes in it. I have not yet sorted out an opt-in to be notified when chapters of Mutante come out, but I’m posting Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Honestly, tech stuff is not my favorite and I’m struggling with how to do my email list in a way that makes sense without costing an arm and a leg. It’s on my list to do more research 🙂
