A Mishmash

Happy Christmas! Or if you don’t celebrate/hate Christmas, then Happy December 🙂

The past few weeks, I’ve started toying with my fantasy series (Teloria). I had a developmental editor several years ago who told me to scrap the main characters and half the plot. Over the years, I’ve come to believe it was just a story-editor mismatch. I still very much love these characters and this story, but I’m hoping to finagle things to match up with what I’ve learned in the past decade and to address some of the editor’s concerns without starting over.

I’ve had a couple people ask what’s happening with An Honest Insult. The short answer is “nothing right now.” I do plan to go back to that one eventually. It’s another one that I had extensive rewriting recommended. If anyone likes doing developmental beta-ing and is interested in reading it, let me know. I’d love some suggestions 🙂

Also! I’m reading Pride & Prejudice fan fiction right now. I don’t usually read it while I’m mid-story (just to keep from accidental plagiarism) so it’s been a few years. Send me recommendations if you have any 🙂

Over the holiday break, I plan to read Mutante out loud to my family and get some feedback on what to do next with it.

Basically, I’m in a weird not-really-in-the-middle-of-anything-but-dabbling-with-several-things kind of place. I’ll keep you guys posted though 🙂 See you on January 15!
