What happened to May?

Hey guys!

Sorry it’s been a minute! In May, I decided to do the equivalent of a nanowrimo and try to finish up my story. I didn’t quite make it, but it was close. So, good news: the first draft is done! Everyone cheer, please 🙂 I struggle at celebrating things instead of just moving on to the next task, so I don’t want to underplay the fact that I FINISHED the first draft of a novel I started in 2018. I cannot tell you how excited I will be to write something else. Not that I don’t love this story–it’s great! I just really want to do something different 😉

So May was a bunch of frantic writing and then I had two weeks of vacation (only one of which I didn’t even look at my manuscript). After week one of vacation, I started some frantic editing and that’s where I’m still at. Lord willing, I will finish said editing within a week or two.

While we were on vacation, my family and I spent several hours playing around with cover art. It was super fun and I’m really excited to see how the cover for The Riches of a Life Well-Lived looks when it’s finished!

As far as posting Mutante goes, I plan to start it as soon as I’m done with the edits for The Riches. So, soon.
